I have been sucked into Bethany Kris's world in the last 2 months & have devoured her books. I was really worried about this book due to what happens in the Chicago Wars series. That said, I should have trusted the writer. This 2 book series was amazing. I just wanted to reach into the pages & give Dino a hug. I got to say, it is a good thing I read Theo's book first, but I didn't really like him in this one. I know Dino didn't tell his brother a lot, but it just made me angry. Thankfully, Dino was able to finally feel love with the help of Karen. She was able to show him that he does have Worth. So, go ahead & read this book & you will quickly move on to the second one. What you can always count on from this author...a worthy read
Another fabulous life story finely crafted by Bethany Kris❤ I knew Dino, from previous stories, is a fierce protector and planner but wondered where about his tale. It was more harrowing, dangerous, and passionate than I could have immagined! I'm devouring the 2nd book next!
I swear this author is just pure magic. Every single book she has put out is just amazing. I love Dino and finally having a book about his story and seeing the struggles he insures for his family is just heartbreakingly beautiful. I cannot get enough of these books. If you haven't tried reading this author then I must tell you that you are missing out on some terrific storylines that will take you into this incredible ride with twists that you won't see coming.
Ok so I originally met Dino in his sisters book (Lily) and I kind of liked him and then I kind of didn't if that makes any sense, but here we are given a different side of Dino, and it begins to open up the picture and give a better understanding of the why's and of the life that he lived. This Dino I find that I like better and I'm very excited to see what happens next but at the same time a bit apprehensive. Lol. ( readers drama). Really enjoyed Karen's character a lot, she was a breathe of fresh air for Dino in the world he lived in. Though she trusted a lot with little to no answers, not sure I could do that. Looking forward to the rest of the story.
Oh my goodness!!! Karen and Dino are the perfect match! And Dino... I looooove him!!! Love love love!!! His inter turmoil is heartbreaking but at the same time makes him beautiful! He is by far my favorite!!! I have fallen in love with him and am hoping like crazy he really does get his happily ever after. I am sooooo afraid that his will be a bittersweet one. After all we know what happened to him. I am hanging onto hope that Bethany has something up her sleeve. This book is wonderful and is now one of my all time favorites!!! Bethany Kris you are amazing girl!!! You never disappoint!!!

Yeah Dino I love him! I first read of Dino in Lilly's and Damian's story and I loved him in that book as well. I didn't know all of his motives , well that's not really all that true, but I didn't know how the events came into play. Also the man he became, why, etc. also we learned of Karen through Lillys and Damian's story and more thought Theo's story. But the, Waste of Worth, was so worth waiting for Dino and Karen's story. I fell in love with both characters and I even though it ends in a huge cliff hanger. I have no idea how it well end. Even after reading the other books. Im even starting to think what I really thought happened to Dino may have not happened at all. Fingers crossed he gets his happy Ever After along with Karen. I'm so excited for book 2. Bethany-Kris you rock girl. She's an amazing author you well not be disappointed in the book are any of her books.
We meet Dino DeLuca while visiting his parents at the cemetery. That's where he also crosses paths with Karen Martin. A sweet and giving women, with a passion for photography. Dino and Karen cross paths a couple of times but it's when she is looking for a job, at one of his clubs, that their relationship begins.
Dino has lead a hard and tortured life. He is fiercely protective of his younger brother and sister, Theo and Lily. He has been protecting them since the death of his parents when they were children.
Reading about the horror he endured thru out his childhood was heart breaking. It's easy to understand why he is such a dark and lonely man.
Dark and lonely until Karen enters his life and shines light upon his dark. He so deserved to have some light and love in the dark world of the mafia.
I am trying to stay away from giving up too much of the storyline. I have to say his Uncle Ben is a monster and I believe hell holds a special place for these kind of people! There is so much more I want to say about the story but I don't want to rob others of the experience of feeling this story as it unfolds.
I was left screaming "NO" at my kindle at the end of this. We do end on a quite the cliffy, but we get a peek at the next part, so it helps!!! The second book of this duet is releasing on February 6th, 2017. If you want a good mafia book, I'd say this is it! Go ahead and one click this one and enjoy! Happy reading!
